“Nurture – Challenge – Inspire” is the mission of the Munich International School (MIS) in Starnberg – and has been for more than 50 years. More than 1,260 students are now learning here.
At a junior school, a middle school or a senior school, there are students between the ages of four and 18. In the core subjects you will receive lessons in English and continue to learn your mother tongue.
International standards ensure that students can change at prestigious schools and universities around the world. In the 12th class, they are able to complete with the IB Diploma. This is an internationally recognised school leaving certificate which corresponds to the general university entrance qualification.
Letting Students Do – Making into the Future
The learning environment is modern and technically well equipped. In 2018, the new Maker’s Lab was also opened here. There, the students make use of this high-tech workshop in a variety of ways: The high-quality equipment from the 3D printer to the laser cutter, cutting plotter and sewing machines to the AV studio with green screen is fully used.
This so-called making gives learning a goal and a context. Students can now build on their skills and the knowledge they have acquired in different contexts, both theoretically and practically, and even supplement what they have learned. This interdisciplinary integration provides an ideal platform to solve the problems of today’s world.
This making movement thus offers interdisciplinary integration to solve problems of today’s world. Students have access to theoretical and practical knowledge of different subjects in order to complete assignments.
Lifelong learning for a successful life
Making gives learning a meaning and a connection. It motivates students to do more research and is crucial to how learning in the 21st world is learned. defined in the world’s best schools in the 19th century.
Education is for us when students enjoy continuing to educate themselves through questioning, exploration, and creation.
